The Winter Bear was produced by Matt Stevens in 2008 for Denakkanaaga with a grant from First Alaskans Institute and directed by Carey Seward with Frank Yaska as Sidney Huntington, Mark Frank as Victor, Elias Saylor as Duane, Christin Lee and Elizabeth Jerue as Miranda and students from Effie Kokrine Charter School in other roles.

Cyrano’s Theatre Company produced the world premiere of the play in 2010, Sandy Harper, Producer and Jayne Wenger, Director and Dramaturg. Brían Wescott played Sidney Huntington for the Cyrano’s performances; Allan Hayton was Sidney for shows in Galena and Fairbanks. Andrew Demientieff played Duane. Irene Bedard and Rachel Marquez played Miranda. Tom Jacobs was Victor. Erick Hayden was Raven. Erick Robertson played Wolf. Rachel Marquez and Priscilla Hensley Holthouse played Lynx with Eric Cover as Wolverine.
